You have 2 parts to join on spare needles.
Put them back on your knitting needles, wrong side facing out, and take a 3rd same size needle.

		Fig. 4 Slip the 1st stitch of the 3rd needle over the 2nd stitch as you would do for a regular bind-off. You have 1 stitch on the 3rd needle and 1 bound-off stitch.  |

		 Fig. 5 Repeat these steps until all the stitches are bound-off. If the front of your work is in reverse stockinette, proceed exactly the same but purl the stitches together instead of knitting them.  |
