Left-slant 3-stitch twist
Knitting - Basic Techniques
This is a variation of a cable pattern (usually called a twist because the facing stitches are worked as knit-stitches and the under stitch is worked as a purl-stitch). The technique (combining knit and purl-stitches) can be used with any number of stitches.
Slip the next 2 stitches (1 and 2) to the cable needle, hold the cable needle to the front.
Purl the next stitch (3).
Knit 2 (1 and 2) from the cable needle.
The 2 stitches at the right-hand side are crossed over the adjacent stitch to the left. |
