Right-slant 3-stitch twist
Knitting - Basic Techniques

This is a variation of a cable pattern (usually called a twist because the facing stitches are worked as knit-stitches and the under stitch is worked as a purl-stitch). The technique (combining knit and purl-stitches) can be used with any number of stitches.

Slip the next stitch to the cable needle (1), hold the cable needle to the back.
Knit 2 (2 and 3).
Purl the stitch from the cable needle.
The 2 stitches on the left-hand side are crossed over the adjacent purl stitch.
