His and Hers Reflection Hat
Tricot / Knitting

NOTES

• This hat is made in the round from the bottom up.

• Change to double-pointed needles when there are too few stitches remaining to knit comfortably with the circular needle.

• After completing one hat, you will have lots of the contrast colors left over, to knit a second hat, just purchase one more ball of background color.

Stranded Hat Pattern (multiple of 12 stitches, decreasing to a multiple of 4 stitches) See the chart.

Hat

With the smaller circular knitting needle and B, use the cable cast-on method to cast on 96 (108) stitches.

Place a marker on the needle to indicate the beginning of the round, slip the marker every round.

Join, being careful not to twist the stitches.

Change to A, work even in the Rib Pattern until the piece measures approximately 1"/[2.5cm].

Change to the larger circular needle, knit 2 (3) rounds.

Work the desired Stranded Hat Pattern chart through Round 37, changing to double pointed needles when too many stitches have been decreased away to continue comfortably using the circular needle, then knit 0 (1) round(s) with B—32 (36) stitches remain.

Next Round:

With B, *ssk, k2tog, repeat from * around—16 (18) stitches remain.

Next Round:

With B, k2tog around—8 (9) stitches remain.

Do not bind off. Cut the yarn, leaving a 12"/[30.5cm] tail.
